Mini-Vation

November 2017 - August 2018

Mini-Vation is the culmination of the Skills USA 2018 project between my partner (Zach Handshoe) and myself. The project developed using Unity 2018 with art assets from 3DS Max and Photoshop. In it's current state, Mini-Vation took 2nd place at the state level. After the competition, the project has been mostly left untouched.

While the game has been left alone, Zach and I have brained stormed ideas of where we can take the game from here. One of the biggest changes that we made a "proof of concept" for was a two player split-screen. This ultimately would work with controllers on PC. This would eventually allow us to easily move towards putting the product on consoles.

One other idea that we began working on was plane customization. The goal would be to give the player an incentive to continue playing. The parts would offer slightly advantages/disadvantages through the characteristics of the plan (turning, speed, fire-rate, etc) while bringing in a new layer of aesthetic choice for the player.
